Job Description

On a daily basis, our Community Moderation team protect Depop by mediating disputes, investigating fraud, and educating members. Moderation agents work within Depop’s case system to help buyers and sellers come to a resolution when there is a problem with an order.

We require agents to possess exceptional judgment, well-developed critical thinking and communication skills, and the ability to operate in ambiguous and unfamiliar situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Master the ins-and-outs of Depop’s changing policies, products, and features
  • Review and respond to cases of member disputes, non-deliveries, buyer reviews, spam, and scam
  • Maintain service levels in responding to members accurately and efficiently
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, and policy teams
  • Propose workflow improvements to better Depop’s internal and external tools
  • Act as an internal resource for questions regarding policy

This is an entry-level position with potential for growth over time.

Requirements:

  • You have a positive, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-help attitude, an even temper, and the ability to work well within a team structure.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian (both written and verbal) This is a must!
  • Have a high level of web savvy with excellent Internet research skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a level-headed temperament
  • Have organisation, attention to detail, and time management skills

Bonus Points:

  • You have a knowledge of handmade/vintage goods
  • Have relevant experience in online policy enforcement
  • Interest in fashion and shopping
