About the Role

  • The function of the Internal Sales Executive – Italy is to deliver new business development and account development working with both End-User commercial organisations and also working closely with our Italian based channel partners, VARs, Dealers, Systems Integrators etc.
  • Success is measured on signed new business revenue contracts with end user clients in the SMB sector (under 2000 user installations).
  • You will work closely with in-region Account Managers based in Italy and with our Channel Partner community in Italy for the ongoing development of existing and new customers, ensuring that revenue targets are met and over-achieved.

Specific tasks

  • Be the main point of contact for your partner base
  • Provide sales support to in territory Account Managers.
  • Work with the Account Managers and Channel Partners as a team sharing responsibility for the assigned revenue target.
  • Own and develop an agreed element of the revenue target.
  • Participate in partner business development events (callout days etc.)
  • Participate in business development events (call out days, road shows etc.)
  • Engage and support the channel partners sales teams (reseller and distribution).
  • Work with channel partners to take sales opportunities from inception to close.
  • Utilise the appropriate internal sales support and technical functions to enable successful sales close.
  • Act decisively to qualify leads generated by marketing activity and ensuring that we are engaged at the correct level of decision maker in client prospects and channel partners.
  • Proactively engage with existing customers upselling and cross selling the portfolio via multiple channels of communication (telephone, email, Webex, Conferencing etc).
  • Ensure that all sales activity is captured within the CRM tool including prospecting customers, opportunity management, forecasting etc.
  • Explore all avenues to get our message in front of customers including social media, sales intelligence apps, intelligent diallers and web/video conferencing platforms.
  • Organise and conduct remote demonstrations for customers via conferencing & collaboration technology
  • Build customer relationships at all levels.
  • Book qualified meetings for aligned TAMS.
  • Establish and maintain a healthy pipeline of forecasted business and reviews regularly with the supporting TAMs and channel support team.
  • Identifying gaps between forecast and budget and assist in building a bridge plan to enable the budget to be hit.

About You

  • Commercial business experience ideally within the broad Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications or related high tech industry & able to demonstrate basic business acumen.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work load & multi task.
  • Good communication skills, able to articulate solutions and their benefits without requiring face to face interactions.
  • Excellent telephone skills & comfortable making cold calls to prospect new customers.
  • Active listener and able to problem solve.
  • “Get up and go” attitude & be a team player.
  • “Hunter” mentality with strong closing skills.
  • Possesses a learner mentality, constantly looking to improve personal effectiveness.
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced sales environment.
  • Educated to a degree level – highly desirable.
  • Essential – Fluent spoken and business standard written English & Italian language skills
