Job Description

Robelko is a well-established (30+ years) sales agency who represent tanneries supplying the high-end fashion sector selling leather to luxury handbag, shoe, and accessories brands and manufacturers in Europe, USA and Asia.

We have an office / showroom in London as well as an office Bedford.  We are looking for an account manager / sales administrator based in the London showroom (though some foreign and UK travel may be required).

The successful candidate must be highly organized, proactive and self-motivated.  They will work alongside the managing partner (as well as one other Account Manager / Sales Administrator in London and three other colleagues in Bedford) to follow the sales process for a number of accounts from initial enquiry through to sampling and production.  Many of the stakeholders will be Italian and / or Spanish and so language fluency is required.

Day-to-day duties will include:

  • Dealing with enquiries from international suppliers / brands by email and phone
  • Checking delivery of samples and order processing (booking orders and advising on delivery times)
  • Coordinating and collating information from relevant sources, presenting it in a format that allows others to use it
  • Filing, invoicing and payment processing
  • Management of the showroom (office management, preparing for appointments etc)
  • Some PA duties including organising travel arrangements / tackling administrative tasks / preparing for meetings / managing diaries etc.
  • Liaising with Bedford office to ensure the two offices work closely together
  • Helping to arrange Robelko attendance and participation at International Trade Fairs
  • Attendance at customer / supplier meetings and taking meeting notes /processing actions where appropriate
  • Taking ownership for certain projects and driving progress (including requesting the MD’s input as required)

The successful candidate will be:

  • A confident, proactive self-starter who learns quickly and is happy working alone as well as within a team
  • Efficient, well-organised and a good forward planner who plans and prioritises in a logical order
  • Meticulous in their attention to detail
  • Able to handle responsibility and pressure with the skill to deal calmly with customers/suppliers in sometimes pressured circumstances (where important delivery deadlines are involved, for example).
  • English mother tongue
  • A Modern languages graduate (fluent Italian and / or Spanish speaker with other languages also welcome)
  • A great communicator (helping to develop and maintain good relationships with our existing customers and suppliers)
  • Comfortable with fast-moving priorities and changing plans
  • Computer literate (excel, word, email, powerpoint & internet research etc)

Package

  • Hours: 8:50 – 17:30
  • Salary: £22,000 – £30,000 pa depending on experience
  • Sector:  Accessories / Luxury

  • Location:  Primarily London (where travel to Bedford or foreign travel is required, expenses will be covered.)
  • Bonus: Discretionary / Performance related bonus paid annually
